The Government intends to contract for architect-engineer services for CR No. 00537, Replace Skin Valves, Tanks 1-16, FISC Red Hill POL Storage Facility, Red Hill, Oahu, Hawaii. This contract action is for design and engineering for the revision of previously prepared plans, specifications, design analysis, and cost estimates; and to provide post construction award services for the replacement of skin valves on Tanks 1-16 at the FISC Red Hill POL Storage Facility. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with the Architect-Engineer firm of Williams Brothers Engineering Co. since they are the original designer of record, have the knowledge, historical background and the experienced personnel to complete the work, under the authority of FAR 6.302. The estimated cost is less than $100,000. Estimated start date is June 1997. Interested persons may identify their interest before 2 June 1997. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
