High Voltage maintenance and repair services, Sol. 620-7-97, at the F.D.R. VA Hospital, Montrose, NY., as stated in the specifications. Work includes but is not limited to the following: The contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, materials, supplies, repair parts, tools, instruments, equipment, to provide complete high voltage maintenance and repairs; examination services and tests to keep all high voltage equipment in safe operating condition. Contractor shall plan, schedule, coordinate and ensure effective and economical completion of all work and services as specified All maintenance requiring power outages will be accomplished on weekends. Contractor shall maintain all high voltage switches, transformers, switchgear, enclosures, breakers, busses and grounding systems in accordance with ANSI, NEC and manufacture specifications. All work must be performed under the supervision of a qualified service engineer. The supervising Field Service Engineer must be accredited as a Certified Electrical Test Technologist by the NICET or the NETA with a minimum of 5 years experience on similar projects. NOTE: Persons with BS degree or higher in Engineering need not be accredited or certified, provided they can demonstrate to the Resident Engineer that they have the required specialized knowledge and at least 5 years experience in testing switchgear and power distribution systems. The contractor is to provide a detailed report as defined in the specifications. Contractor bids shall have a 90 day acceptance period. Contract completion time is 90 calendar days after award. Issue date is on or about June 6, 1997 and will be issued on a first come first served basis until supply is exhausted. Request for bid documents must be in writing.
