3950-01-384-4758, HU40 Drum Winch, estimated quantity twenty-seven (27)
per year. Contractor shall be responsible for providing all labor and
materials to receive, disassemble, inspect, report, overhaul,
reassemble, test, and preserve each Winch in accordance with current
Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) specifications and standards and
Coast Guard Specification Number 025-R-583-222 dated 3/97. All parts
to be furnished and used with the repairs must be genuine OEM parts.
The Government does not possess copies of the manufacturer's drawings,
technical or engineering specifications. All responsible sources have
been given the opportunity to submit information describing their
capabilities in supplying the required services in Issue No. PSA-1831
dated 24 April 1997. The Government intends to solicit only
Ingersoll-Rand Corporation or their authorized repair facilities. It is
intended to award a Requirements-typecontract with one (1) base year
and four (4) option years. Delivery will depend on the issue date of
individual delivery orders. Delivery shall be to the Coast Guard
Engineering Logistics Center, 2401 Hawkins Point Road, Baltimore, MD
21226-5000. See Numbered Notes 22 and 26. This synopsis is issued
pursuant to FAR 5.207(e)(3) and TAM 1205.207. All responsible sources
may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. This Notice
is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and
Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation
(DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU),
has a program to assist minority, women-owned, and disadvantaged
business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance
for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT
Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide
accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is
