The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Engineering and Technology Development, has a need for technical analysis support to provide engineering safety reviews; environmental, safety and biological risk assesments; launch meteorological analysis and research; and advisory assistance in the preparation of environmental impact assessments and statements in support of its mission to design, construct and deliver radioisotope power systems for both space and terrestrial applications. A single Fixed-Rate, Labor-hour, Task Order contract is anticipated to be awarded from initial offers. The acquisition is unrestricted and has been assigned SIC code 8711, size standard $20.0 million. The resulting contract will have security requirements and require that key personnel be capable of acquiring a DOE "Q" security clearance. The contract will have a two year base period and three twelve month options. The estimated Direct Productive Labor Hours over the sixty month term is 31,250.
