Davis, Contracting Officer, 402-221-3464 This is a pre-solicitation notice to inform all bidders of the National Park Service's intention to solicit bids for the rehabilitation of single track mainline railroad and drainage improvements at various locations over approximately one mile of track. Work to be performed will include: Undercut and remove fouled ballast; replace defective ties and tie plate; install ballast to fill cribs, create proper ballast; profile and raise track approximately 2"; Install proper side ditches; Surface, line and regulate; regage; and tighten joints. This procurement will be awarded in accordance with the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program 100-656 (241). Accordingly, it is open to both small and large business. If the successful low bidder is a large business, a subcontracting plan shall be submitted and approved before award. Bids will be opened at National Park Service, 1709 Jackson Street, Omaha, Ne. 68102.
