The proposed contract is for project MDY 96-0152, Repair Fire Protection Systems, Hangar 718 which consists of but is not limited to furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials, transportation, supervision, etc., to correct life safety deficiencies by installing a wet pipe sprinkler system to cover 16,000 SF of administrative area; installing an Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) wet pipe sprinkler system in the 25,000 SF maintenance bay area; constructing an AFFF retention pond; constructing a 1250 SF fire pump building; constructing a concrete masonry unit fire rated wall to separate administrative areas from maintenance areas; installing fire rated doors throughout; rearranging interior walls and building exits; and replacing interior finishes. All work shall be in strict compliance with the firm-fixed price contract with 270 calendar day performance period. Magnitude of the proposed contract is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.
