The San Diego Unified School District provides elementary and secondary educational services to residents of a 210.9 square mile area that includes most of the City of San Diego. The District's facilities include 115 elementary schools, 21 middle/junior high schools, 16 senior high schools, three special purpose junior-senior high schools, 23 preschool children centers. The District intends to obtain professional consulting services to accomplish the following project: 1) assist the District in developing and refining a detailed compilation of its facilities needs; 2) assess public awareness and sensitivity to the District's facilities and other conditions; 3) assist in packaging appropirate facilities needs in a measure to be placed before the electorate; and 4) recommend strategies and tactics for maximizing the possibility of success in such an election.
