U-MEETING ON NATIONAL SPECIFICATIONS On May 23, 1997, the Council of Chief State School Officers and MPR Associates will host the first open meeting of the National Test Panel to discuss the test specifications for the Voluntary National Tests. The meeting will be held in Washington, DC at the Madison Hotel located at 15th and M Street, NW from 9:00 am- 5:00 pm. On May 29-30, 1997, the Council of Chief State School Officers and MPR Associates will host the first open meeting of the Mathematics Committee to discuss the test specifications for the Voluntary National Mathematics Test for grade 8. The meeting will be held in Washington, DC at the Madison Hotel located at 15th and M Street, NW from 9:00 am-5:00 pm each day. An electronic summary of each meeting will later be placed on the Department's web site, http://www.ed.gov./nationaltests. All interested parties are invited to attend.
