Program Manager, Cruise Missiles Weapons Systems Program (PMA-282), is in the process of defining requirements for a software/hardware design, development, and integration effort that will include systems engineering and integration for future Weapons Control Systems (WCS). Other possible areas could include logistics and hardware production. The requirement is expected to include technology insertion efforts in support of evolving TOMAHAWK mission requirements. This requirement must ensure performance and design compatability of all elements of the WCS for TOMAHAWK and potential future land-attack missiles on U.S. and FMS ships and submarines. Software development, testing and integration is expected to result in annual builds in support of the PMA-282 long range plan. A pre-solicitation conference will be held Friday, 20 JUN 97, 0800-1200 in Room 110, Building Jefferson Plaza 2 (JP2), 1421 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA. It is anticipated that this pre-solicitation conference will be followed by a formal solicitation. The Government requests that any interested sources provide an expression of interest by 6 JUN 97 to NAVAIR, AIR-2.4.1.2/Robert Wolfe, 1421 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Arlington, VA 22243-5120, or facsimile (703)604-1241, including a short description (contractor content and format) pertaining to their management, systems engineering, hardware development, production and shipboard integration, software development and integration, and logistics capabilities. It is the Government's intent to solicit as much interaction as possible with interested parties throughout this requirements definition process leading to the anticipated formal solicitation. All questions, ideas and approaches are welcome and should be submitted to AIR-2.4.1.2.
