hhufford@bop.gov. The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to contract for
A/E services for the replacement of three coal fired boilers at the
Federal Penitentiary in Marion, IL. The project was designed in
November 1991 and construction has been delayed until 1997. Services
will include some modifications to the construction documents to
accommodate changes that have occurred in the powerhouse since 1991.
The A/E firm will also provide services in the Bidding and Construction
Administration phases of the project. Consideration will be limited to
firms licensed to practice in the State of Illinois and located within
a 150 mile radius of the penitentiary. Selection of firms to be
interviewed will be based on the following evaluation factors: Capacity
and Capability 25%, Project Team and Organization 25%, Experience and
Performance 30%, Knowledge of Locality 10%, and Proximity to Project
10%. Firms responding by June 9, 1997 will be considered. Firms
desiring consideration shall submit appropriate SF 254 and SF 255
forms. This is not a RFP. All responses to this notice should be mailed
