Contractors will be placed on a register for 12 mont hs and will be competitively solicited on a rotating basis for the installation of approximately 25 LAN/IWS installation projects, ranging in price from $25,000 to $100,000. The projects will be performed for the Social Security Administra tion in Federally-owned and leased buildings throughout Georgia, Kentucky, and N orthern Florida. The scope of the work includes furnishing all necessary supervi sion, labor, tools, and materials to perform all work to provide complete operat ing electrical and IWS/LAN (intelligent work station/local area network) systems . Work includes, but is not limited to, installing IWS/LAN cabling from a LAN e quipment rack location to workstations and printers, providing receptacle and da ta outlets, labeling and testing of data and power cables, conduit and wiring, m odifications to existing electrical distribution systems, and removal of existin g electrical and data systems. All work must be done after hours and on week-en ds. Some work will be performed by Social Security Administration systems furnit ure contractor and a SSA IWS/LAN equipment vendor. Minor carpentry and plaster repair may be required. Interested contractors must submit a Pre-qualification p roposal which addresses the following criteria: (1) Past experience in performi ng LAN/IWS installations, (2) Financial capability, (3) Supplier capability, a nd (4) Representations and Certifications.
