Z -- REPLACE AND INSTALL (1) 50 KW E/G AT MERCED RADAR AND (2) 75 KW E/G'S AT STOCKTON AND FRESNO RADAR, CA SOL DTFA08-97-Q-10811 POC Richard Asberry -- FAX (916) 857-6004 The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Western-Pacific Region, Sierra-Nevada Systems Management office has a requirement for installation of three Government Furnished Engine Generators as follows: One (1) 50KW (Prime Rated) Diesel engine driven generator set. Manufacture: Kohler Model No.50R0ZJ 120/208 volts, 3 phase 4 wire and associated equipment at the Merced radar facility, located at the Merced Airport Surveillance Radar Facility, FAA Field Office -- 1265 Cedar Ave., Atwater Castle, California 95301-4049. Also, two (2) 75KW (Prime Rated) Diesel engine driven generator set. Manufacture: Kohler Model No. 100R0ZJ 120/208 volts, 3 phase 4 wire and associated equipment, located at the Stockton Municipal Airport, FAA Field Office Terminal Building, 500 S. Airport Way, Room 210, Stockton, CA 95206 and FAA Field Office, 5055 E. Anderson Avenue, Suite 1B, Fresno, CA 93727. To contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, transportation, services, and material (except Government Furnished Materials)to upgrade the existing essential power distribution system and replace the existing generator. Work shall include but limited to providing reliable, 75 kW automatically start generator, transfer and assume the facility load and automatically re-transfer the load to commercial power. The existing fuel tank and fuel stored at the facility may be used as the fuel supply for the contractor supplied temporary generator. The generator will be used as stand-by electrical power for the ATCT during all phase of the project. Remove and dispose of the existing 50 kW generator, two (2) 75 kW engine generator sets, control panel, isolation switch, essential power disconnect switch, load bank starting battery, battery rack, and all associated material. The contractor will replace various existing power distribution panels, supply panels, automatic transfer/bypass switches, battery charger, day tank, load bank controls and radiator and all associated material and equipment. Work shall include but not limited to complete system checkout and testing as specified by Kohler checkout and test procedures and all associated work. All work shall be in strict accordance with FAA plans and specifications. The period of performance is established for ninety (90) calendar days. The period of performance is mandatory and shall be performed within this time frame. The FAA currently has four (4) known sources that it intends to solicit for responses to this requirement. An evaluation of potential bidders shall be performed and shall be basedon the following factors: 1) Past Performance and Reference if similar work performed; 2) Financial Capacity; 3) Credit References; 4) Technical Expertise with a minimum of five (5) years direct responsibility for installation of a 50 kW and 75 kW generator and associated equipment; and 5) Bonding Capacity up to $250,000. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) for this procurement is 1796 and includes an estimated price range between $50,000.00 to $100,000.00.
