Solicitation seeks sources for alternative fueled vehicles. Vehicles may be powered by ethanol, methanol, compressed natural gas, liquid gas, or be electric; and, may be flexible fueled, dedicated, or dual fueled. Offerors must be either an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) (responsible for vehicle fuel economy under 49 CFR, Parts 531 or 533), or have an agreement with an OEM pursuant to the terms of the Energy Policy Act. Estimated quantity 1,485 units. Time of Shipment 90 days after receipt of delivery order. Request for proposal will be issued on or about June 16, 1997, with a closing date on or about July 17, 1997.
