D -- REMOTE ELECTRONIC METERING SYSTEM SOL F40650-97-R-0023 DUE 070897 POC Kathy P. Swanson, Contract Specialist, (615) 454-7841 This procurement is for a remote electrical metering system, consisting of electrical power monitoring and control software, 4 ethernet interfaces, and 19 electric meters. The electrical power monitoring and control software shall be a simple, easy-to-use program, capable of being installed on multiple computers interconnected on a local area network. The networked computers shall be capable of sharing common data and providing multi-user access. The software shall allow for modular expansion and shall communicate and be fully compatible with devices for electronic power monitoring and control over non-proprietary (Modbus RTU, ethernet) communications network. The power monitoring and control software shall run using MicroSoft Windows NT Workstation 3.51 or greater, being fully compatible with the electronic meter and computer provided. The RS-485 to Ethernet TCP/IP interface device shall be equipped with a single 16-bit Ethernet card for communication on either 10BaseT or 10Base2 transport mediums, GENo. PLENETG01 or equal. The device shall provide four RS485 ports with adjustable baud rate (1200 -- 19.2K baud) for communication on up to four RS485 Modbus RTU networks. The electric meter shall be a GE No. PLPML20CG01 or equal. Supplier shall provide 40 hours training on entire system operation. Delivery to Arnold Air Force Base, TN, shall be 60 calendar days from contract award.
