This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside under Standard Industry Code (SIC) 8711/$20M. The award will be based on "Best Buy" resulting in a cost plus fixed fee, indefinite delivery type contract for a period of one base year plus four option years with 35,000 total estimated hours per year. Submission of technical and cost data are required. The contractor shall be required to design, develop and/or modify plans, test procedures/instructions, feasibility studies, plan schedules, procure and/or manufacture material and components and provide the onsite support necessary to accomplish various alterations, repairs, and improvements primarily to submarines, submersibles, rescue vehicles, surface vessels, naval equipment and facilities. Various labor categories include, but are not limited to, Naval Architect, Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics Engineers, Quality Assurance Specialist, Engineering Technician, Draftsperson, Word Processor.
