The FISC Norfolk Detachment Philadelphia intends to acquire on a full and open competitive basis for Professional Respite Care/Homemaker services in support of the Navy Family Service Center, Naval Training Center, Great Lakes, IL. The successful contractor will provide approximately 2,375 hours of professional respite care/homemaker services such as home help w/ light household tasks and child care due to parent's incapacity due to illness, injury, or hospitalization. Services may also be provided to families w/ high risk infants which may include premature infants, low birth weight infants, infants or young children w/significant handicaps disabled mental conditions or conditions requiring special monitoring for child care. The period of performance for this requirement will be from 1 Oct 97 through 30 Sept 98, and will have two one year option periods. It is expected that an IDIQ type contract will be the expectant result from this acquisition. The SIC code for this acquisition effort is 8322. Note 26 applies to this acquisition effort.
