The Contractor shall provide all labor, material, equipment, and supervision necessary to furnish and install dewatering well casings at sites located within the Rio Grande Canalization Project. The U.S. Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico, is in the process of removing existing timber bridges locted along the levee roads of the Rio Grande Canalization Project and replacing them with concrete box culverts. The well casings are required to remove and dispose of groundwater as necessary for the installation of the box culverts (the Government will provide the required equipment and labor for dewatering). The sites are located from Salem, New Mexico, Sierra and Dona Ana Counties, to El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, and within the Rio Grande floodplain. A firm-fixed price requirements contract will be awarded for a base year and one option year. The estimated range of construction is between $25,000 and $100,000. Tentative dates for issuing and opening IFB 97-03 are June 6 and July 7, respectively. Copies of the bid package are available at no charge.
