This is a Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Solicitation number N00164-97-Q-0245 applies and is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The standard industrial code is 3663 and the business size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is for a fixed price contract for one line item as follows. Line item 0001: Quantity 1 Each; Item Description: EDFA (Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier) in accordance with the following specifications. Wavelength range: 1530-1560nm; Pump wavelength: 980 nm; Input Optical Power: -30 to -6 dBm; Peak Output Power: 16 dBm min..; Gain: 35 dB min.; Noise Figure: 5 dB max.; Optical Connector: FC/PC; Power Requirements: +/-5 Volts DC (nom); Without integral heat shrink and with 26-pin through-hole electrical connector. Required Delivery Schedule is 6 Weeks after contractor receipt of order. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination to NAVSURFWARCENDIV CRANE. A fixed price purchase order will be awarded based on Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
