Lawson, Purchasing Specialist via FAX (303)367-1207 This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis for Custodial and Janitorial supplies, including paper products, to be ordered by Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for implementation of Just-In-Time (JIT) program. The contractor must have, or be able to provide prior to contract implentation, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capability for purposes of transmitting and receiving data electronically, and will furnish all required hardware, software, dedicated telephone line(s), and all other supplies needed. This JIT program seeks firms or suppliers that have demonstrated their ability to perform consistently to high standards of quality and reliability in delivering products. Contractor must be able to provide direct vendor delivery of supplies ordered within 48 hours of placement of requisition (weekends excluded), on a state-wide basis. There will be a minimum of two (2)to a maximum of 25 sites. Each site will have several ordering locations. Initial sites are Salt Lake City, serving the state of Utah, Denver CO,serving the state of Colorado and Cheyenne, Wyoming. A third possible initial site is Phoenix, AZ, serving the state of Arizona. Contractor must have, or be able to set up locations in each of these areas to provide required products. Additional sites will be negotiated as they are added. Initial contract term of four (4) years, with up to 10 two-year renewal periods. Multiple awards may be made. The sole purpose of this synopsis is to identify prospective SOURCES, and does not commit the USPS to make an award. A solicitation will be issued on or before June 13, 1997, and Pre-Solicitation conference is presently scheduled for June 24, 1997, at the Aurora CO location.
