The US Postal Service is seeking sources to enter into long-term Preferred Supplier/Partner Portfolio Agreements in support of enterprise-wide Information Technology (IT) solutions via Portfolio areas -- for example: Marketing; Expedited Products; International; Finance; Payroll; Human Resources; and Administration. 2. The Preferred Supplier/Partner will work with the US Postal Service to deliver enterprise-wide business solutions and maximize for the US Postal Service the value obtained from its IT investment. 3. The US Postal Service reserves the right to award no more than two portfolio areas to any one supplier/partner. The US Postal Service is seeking prequalified sources interested in any of these agreements. 4. Companies seeking consideration as a prequalified source must complete the prequalification package posted on the Internet on May 22, 1997 at www.usps.gov/business/wantad/htm. 5. Responses are due not later than June 4, 1997. 6. The US Postal Service reserves the right to limit thenumber of suppliers if it determines that a small group will provide adequate competition or that some suppliers are considerably more qualified than others, thereby precluding purchase opportunities for the less qualified.
