bearings. 12. Renew shaft sleeves. 13. Remove, inspect and reinstall
propeller. 14. Perform minor repair and reconditioning of propellers.
15. Clean and test grid coolers. 16. Renew fuel oil service system root
valve. 17. Preserve the transducer hull rings and renew the depth

place of Performance is at the Vessel's Homepier. There will be a
non-refundable charge required in the form of a certified check or
money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard in the amount of $100.00
for requested U.S. Coast Guard specification reference drawings. The
proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Program and is open to both large and
small businesses. Plans and specifications will be issued on or after
14 May 1997. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be
considered by the United States Coast Guard. For Minority, Women-Owned

Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business
Utilization has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at
prime interest rates up to $500,000 per contract to provide accounts
receiving financing. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms
to apply for bid performance and payment bonds up to $500,000 per
contract. DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a
