The following information is provided in = accordance with FAR 12.603: (I) This is a combined = synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with = the format in Subpart 12,6, as supplemented with additional information = included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only = solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation = will not be issued. (ii) The solicitation is issued as a request for = quotation (RFQ). (iii) The provisions and clauses in effect through = Federal Acquisition Circular Number 90-46, effective 16 May 1997, are = incorporated in this solicitation. .(iv) This is a small business = set-aside. Each of the three years should be priced = separately. (xiv) The vendor must provide the following documentation = with the Band Saw: Three copies each of the Operator Manual, = Maintenance Manual, and Parts Breakout. (xv) Special Proposal = Preparation Instructions: (a) Non-adherence to the following = conditions of bidding will result in a rejection of the complete bid = package. (b) The bidder shall prepare his proposal by referring to = each of the above paragraphs (i.e. paragraphs (I) through (xv)) and = stating that the vendor understands paragraphs (I), (ii) and (iii). (c) = The bidder will then refer to each subsequent paragraph (i.e. = paragraphs (iv) through (v), (vi)(a) through (vi)(p), and (vii) through = (xv)) and place the letter "C" for compliance, "NC" for non-compliance = next to each paragraph number. (d) For all noncompliant ("NC") = paragraphs, the vendor must provide a detailed statement of what is = being offered. (e) The following price breakout shall be provided: = Price for band saw to include documentation listed in paragraph xiv, = above, transportation to Johnson Space Center, unloading from truck, and = one year warranty.
