HYDRA SYSTEM INCLUDING FLIGHT DECK. This is a commercial item
requirement for an AN/SRC-55 Hydra System with Flight Deck capability
for the USS HARRY S TRUMAN, CVN 75. This system will be acquired using
the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for Commercial Items. This
procurement is intended to be a firm fixed priced, sole source contract
to Ericsson Inc. located at Room 4200A, CSC Bldg., Mountain View Road,
Lynchburg, VA 24502. Note 22 applies. The SIC is 5831. The requirement
is for Line item 0001: one (1) each unit: AN/SRC-55 Ericsson P/N
350A2064. The AN/SRC-55 Hydra System including Flight Deck is a
commercial off the shelf (COTS) system. The final deliverable system
will be tested at the contractor's facility as required to ensure
proper operation, using contractor's test procedures. Contractor will
provide Technical Operation Manuals required to operate and support the
final deliverable system. Contractor will provide Commercial Technical
Manuals for all units, Installation control drawings and Installation
Instructions, Parts Lists, System Software Programming Instructions,
and Training materials. The contractor will provide Hardware and
Software Configuration Change Lists for the life of the equipment which
will include contractor's configuration management equivalents of
hardware parts lists and software applicable version lists, not the
actual upgraded software, and test report within 10 days of each
change. The contractor will be required to assist government personnel,
and government support contractors, who are installing the final
deliverable system, with all necessary post-installation checkout
testing to ensure proper operation. The contractor shall provide, all
necessary parts to make the system operational for post-installation
checkout testing, perform any necessary initial system programming, and
conduct training as required for shipboard personnel who will operate,
maintain, and re-program the installed system. Inspection/Acceptance
will be at the contractor's Facility.The required delivery date will be
within 25 days of the receipt of the award. Place of Delivery will be
determined prior to award. The expected closing time/date for receipt
of offers is anticipated to be 3:00 PM EST, 6 June 1997, but will be
specified in the solicitation upon its release. The solicitation and
