The New England District, Corps of Engineers, Intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Reson, Inc., 300 Lopez Road, Goleta, California 03117, for the purchase of one Seabat 6042-1 hardware/software integrated data acquisition package to monitor, display, and quality control the dynamic collection of vessel sounding information including peripheral sensors. The system is configured to transmit and receive data directly into the coastal oceanographic-hypack navigation software while simultaneously displaying in real-time sounding profiles, 3D wiggle, and color coded contour displays. The components must be able to interface 100% with Seabat 9001. Interested parties having the capability to furnish the above described product should submit their product and price information which shall be considered by the agency. All responses must contain sufficient technical and pricing information to enable evaluation of the capability of the product to meet the requirements of the agency. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. No solicitation document exists and no award will be made on the basis of any response to this advertisement. Interested parties may respond in writing to New England District, Corps of Engineers, ATTN: Purchase Branch, 424 Trapelo Road, Waltham, MA 02254-9149. All responses form responsible sources which are received within 15 days of the date of the publication of this synopsis will be fully considered. As a result of analyzing responses to this synopsis of intent, the contracting officer may determine that a solicitation will be issued. If a solicitation will be issued no additional synopsis will be published. Any such solicitation will be issued to the intended vendor and all firms that respond to this synopsis of intent or otherwise request a copy of the solicitation. (0143)
