Trademark Office(PTO) requires an increase to its currently owned
licenses for the Texas Instrument product base. The current product
that PTO uses includes Arranger products, software integration and
Component Base Development and Web architectures which support intranet
and/or internet deployment. PTO has selected the IEF Composer as the
primary integrated computer aided software engineering (I-CASE) tool.
IEF Composer is the system development tool that best supports the
selected methodology and meets PTO's objective to migrate to a
standard-based open system environment. This will allow PTO to move
toward system deployment and maintain its'existing investment in Texas
Instrument Software. The current investment includes Encyclopedia,
COBOL Language Option, DB@ Database Option, Developer Workstation and
Construction Client Server Toolset. The requirement will be negotiated
with Texas Instruments Incorporation, Falls Church, VA who is the
manufactuer and on only authority providerpursant to FAR 6.301-1. This
is a combined synopsis/solication for commerical items prepared in
accordance with the FAR 12.6 as supplement by additional information
included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only
solication document issued. A completed Representation and
Certification -- Commercial Item shall be submitted with proposals, in
accordance with FAR 52.212-3. This is a sole source requirement.
