Reclamation (BOR), Boulder City, Nevada requires miscellaneous service
of our communication system for a one year period with a one year
option. There are five separate locations within Boulder City. It is
required that this service be performed under an Indefinite Delivery
Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Contract. Tasks to be performed: a.
Installation of new copper and fiber cables. All installation of
category 5 cabling will be tested fully for compliance with test
equipment such as a Microtest PentaScanner or equivalent. Compliance
testing is in accordance with Category 5 TIA,EIA,ANSI (TSB-67 Level II
and 568A ANNEX E) and ISO class C/D requirements. Optical fiber will
be terminated with multimode ST connectors and will be tested with an
OTDR. Contractor must be able to terminate both ST and SC type
multimode connectors. OTDR tests will be at both 1310 and 1515 nm for
single mode and 850 and 1300 for multimode fiber. Testing equipment
must have current certification of calibration. b. Installation of
plenum cabling and associated raceway or conduit. c. Testing and
troubleshooting existing equipment. This could be anything from simple
continuity testing to hooking a terminal or laptop to equipment at a
distant end on a conference call. Cable pulling work will be performed
on weekends or off duty hours. Support will be required on a one work
day advance notice. In the event of an emergency contractor must be
available within two hours. Contractor must be on call 24 hours a day.
Contractor must have a working knowledge of TIA/EIA/ANSI 568 A
standard, digital communications including T1/T3 systems, subrate data
multiplexers, channel banks, and telephone systems. Shall also have
knowledge of 10baseT wiring and concentrators as well as RS-232 and
V.35 interfaces. Contractor will provide labor expertise and
certification testing. Government will furnish materials. Simplified
Acquisition Procedures Apply. This is a Small Business Set-Aside.
Applicable SIC Code is 1731. Copies of solicitaion will be provided in
