The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst requires repair services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Dynamic Instruments, Inc., 3860 Calle Fortunada, San Diego, CA 92123-1825. Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only supplier of these services because they are the sole designer and manufacturer of the equipment already purchased by the Government, which is used on ships as well as land bases to calibrate accelerometers and velocity transducers. The proposed Basic Ordering Agrement (BOA) for repair of services shall be for a period of three (3) years. Repairs will consist of a complete chassis upgrade, upgrade/reprogramming of proprietary company firmware (EPROM) and repair/replacement of defective parts. All repairs will be done using original manufacturd replacement parts. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all responses received within thirty days after the date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of the notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. (0143)
