760/939-4086 PROCUREMENT NOTICE -- TO ALERT CONTRACTORS OF A
FORTHCOMING SOLICITATION TO DESTROY ABANDONED WELLS, STATION WIDE,
NAVAL AIR WEAPONS STATION, CHINA LAKE, CALIFORNIA- The Contractor will
be required to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and
supervision required to destroy abandoned wells. The work includes the
destruction of 15 wells located at various places on the Naval Air
Weapons Station, China Lake, California. The well casings will be
ripped then filled with gravel and concrete. One well site has a
building that will be demolished. The Contractor shall also file the
permits required witrh the state and local authorities and incidental
related work. Performance time is 120 calendar days. Potential bidders
should request IFB N62474-97-B-1860 in writing not later than (15)
calendar days after publication in the CBD. When calling, be prepared
to state name, address, and solicitation number.-see Note 9.-All
responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered.
Tentative issue date is 26 May 1997 with an opening date approximately
30 days later. The SIC Code is 1781. The related small business size
standard is $7.0 Million. Firm fixed price contract. The estimated cost
range is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. Please note that the Naval
Air Weapons Station will only accept written requests for bid
documents. Prospective bidders/offerors shall be charger for the
solicitation based on the cost of reproduction of the plans and
specifications. The charge for this solicitation is $15.00. Make your
