Under this project, the Contractor shall furnish and install one new 300-ton (plus or minus 20 tons) hermetic centrifugal chiller utilizing chlorine-free refrigerant with zero ozone-depletion potential. Installation will be in Building 210 at the USEPA Edison Facility, 2890 Woodbridge Ave., Edison, NJ. Work shall include removal and disposal of the existing 290-ton failed chiller; delivery, off-loading, rigging, and placement of equipment; all necessary chilled water and condensing water piping connections; all necessary electrical wiring and connections, including control wiring and connection to existing building monitoring and control system and start-up of unit. A firm-fixed-price contract is contemplated. For those proposals meeting the minimum performance standards/specifications set forth in the solicitation, price will be the determinative factor for award. Anticipated completion date is 20 calendar days after date of receipt of notice to proceed. Estimated price is between $100,000 and $200,000.
