The scope of work consist of reroofing 430,000 sf building, existing roofs, include, built-up roof over rigid board insulation over steel deck, pre-formed metal over rigid board insulation over steel deck and elastomeric membrane over flat concrete structure; Remove existing roofing, as required; add new membrane roofing system over entire area; and Miscellaneous repairs to roof flashings, gutters, drainage systems and related elements. No fewer than three of the most highly qualified prime roofing contractors will be placed on the prequalified contractors list. The estimated range is $1,500,000 to $5,000,000. Interested prime roofing contractors may obtain a prequalification package at no cost by submitting a written request to Grace Batesting at the above address, or by faxing a request to Grace Batesting at 415/794-0820. The prequalification package will be sent by mail to firms that request it, but the package will not be faxed to the firms. The primary evaluation factors that will be considered, and are of equal importance, are: Licensing as a roofing contractor in the State of California; Comparable Construction Experience in Northern California of similar size, cost and scope; Financial Stability; and adequacy of staffing resouces. The secondary evaluation factor that will be considered: Project Management Capabilities; Safety, and Company Organization. Prequalification statements will not be returned.
