The Indian Head Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center(INDIVNAVSURFWARCEN)is seeking sources for the manufacturing of a fixed quantity of plastic tubes. These tubes must be manufactured by the award site, and will be shipped to INDIVNAVSURFWARCEN for testing. Tube material should be similar to the following: Laminated, thermosetting tube per L-P-509, Type IV, Grade G10. The following material characteristics apply to the finished tube: -minimum specific gravity: 1.70,-minimum axial compression strength: 20,000 psi, -minimum bonding strength: 2000 pounds force, -linear coefficient of thermal expansion: 5.5 x 10-5in/in/F (Critical), Dimensional requirements: -Tube length: 31.73 inches, -Tube inner diameter: 6.937 inches, -Tube thichness: 0.129 inches, Additional requirements: -Surface of finished tube shall be free of mold release agents and oil,-Finished tube shall be free of separations, voids, blisters, fissures, foreign material, mandrel scores, loose layers, resin pockets, and excessive scratches.
