solicitation TFTP-97-HB-681A. POC debbi ginther, 253-931-7484. Items on
this schedule will replace the previous 681A schedule. 681A is
currently being converted to a non-mandatory schedule for useby
ordering agencies. The new 681A schedule will contain the following:
commercial non-hazardous chemicals/formulations (EG, calcium chloride,
technical CID-A-A-169); sodium chloride, technical (for snow and ice
removal)(CID-A-A-1545); and deicing compound(calcium Magnesium
acetate)(TPD497-5)) designed primarily for, but not necessarily limited
to, roadstabilization and/or to safely melt/remove ice from roadways,
walkways, runways, and/or roofs, with minimal negative environmental
impact; commercial chemicals or formulations designed to remove ice
from aircraft wings or fuselage; sodium chloride (water conditioning
SALT) that is marketed commercially for the conditioning of residential
drinking water or fish hatchery water and chemicals, formulations, or
products that are technologically new in the field of ice melting, ice
removal, or fish hatchery water treatment. Contracts will be
negotiated for standard commercial chemicals under the multiple award
schedule Mas) program and will be entered into with more than one firm
offering similar type items. The contracts awarded will be
indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity, fixed price with economic
price adjustment, $100.OO guarantee minimum. Contract period is 5
years; October 1, 1997, or date of award, through September 30, 2002,
and the solicitation will include an option to extend the term of the
contract for 5 years. Delivery is FOB destination zonal; zones 1-10
comprising the 48 contiguous states and the district of Columbia.
Competition will be full and open and all responsible sources may
request a copy of the solicitation which will be issued on or about
