Technology Survey/Request for Information (RFI). AMA Systems, Inc., under U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Food and Consumer Service (FCS) Food Stamp Program (FSP) Contract 53-3198-6-027, "Technical and Cost Feasibility of EBT Equipage of Food Retailers Operating in Farmers' Markets and Other Non-Wired Locations", is soliciting information from public and private sector commercial organizations on technically feasible equipment and systems that can provide Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) Equipage in non-wired food retail locations. These include farmers' markets, mobile food retail locations, and stationary retail locations lacking telecommunications and/or electricity needed to operate a point-of-sale terminal, printer, and PIN pad set-up. Responses to this Technology Survey/RFI should provide information on equipment and systems that solve any portion of the problems facing mobile retailers and farmers' markets; eliminate the paper process currently in place; are compatible with existing EBT;and meet standards/interfacing requirements of ISO93 and ISO95 when applicable. AMA Systems, Inc. will use the information to complete the Technical and Cost Feasibility of EBT Equipage of Food Retailers Operating in Farmers' Markets and Other Non-Wired Locations Report for submission to the USDA.
