Disposal of these cells must be in accordance with all state and local hazardous and environmental laws. The contractor must have previous experience handling and disposing of cells of this size and chemistry and must have necessary permits in place. Disposal consists of 90 cells, each weighing 33 pounds and has been discharged in a controlled and non-abusive fashion to 2.5 volts. (0147)
