The HDDS is a computer program which contains a database of historical ship hull forms and R&P data from Europe and the United States. It allows the user to make resistance and powering as well as seakeeping and maneuvering predictions from the historical database using regression analysis and semi-empirical techniques. It allows the user to deform hullforms and compute their new performance characteristics.
