is for a one year indefinite delivery, indefinite quantities service
contract to provide roadside mowing and boundary discing on the
Department of Energy's Savannah River Site near Aiken, SC. Roadside
mowing includes the mowing of all grass and woody stems up to three
inches in diameter within the clearing limits (woodline to woodline) of
the minor paved roads, primary graveled roads and native woods' roads.
Approximate amount is 400 miles and majority of task orders for
roadside mowing will be placed during August through November. Boundary
discing involves the perimeter boundary of the Savannah River Site.
Work is to maintain firebreak on boundary by removal of vegetative
growth along firebreak by means of turning ground over to eliminate
fire fuels. Approximate distance is 60 miles and majority of task
orders for boundary discing will be placed during January through May.
Task orders for either operation may be placed throughout the contract
period. SRS is a restricted access Governmentfacility and all persons
entering SRS must be U.S. citizens. This is a 100 percent Small
