Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center is conducting a study concerning the industrial capacity of Engine Test Cells for the CFM56-2C engine. The test cell description is as follows: Thrust class is 25000 lbs., with gaspath airflow of 1000 lbs./sec plus boundary air. Cell depression not to exceed 5 inches of water, with minimal inlet distortion to allow transient operation without stalls. Instrumentation will require 150 analog channels, inclusive of automated data capture and test sequencing. The performance product hardcopy will display the stabilized observed data, as well as, the corrected to standard day sea level, providing margins to the guaranteed parameters and the state of schedule for variable geometry. Test logs are to be provided on storage medium for performance and vibration trending and diagnostics. Any company which has the required test cell and has the capacity to perform appromimately 6 engine tests per month on the CFM 56-2C engine should contact the followingin writing by 5 June 97.
