SELLING TO STATE & LOCAL GOVERNMENT George Mason University's Procurement Technical Assistance Program is sponsoring the seminar, "Selling to State & Local Government", on Thursday, May 29, 1997. The class will be held at the Procurement Technical Assistance Program, Enterprise Center, 4031 University Dr., 2nd Floor-Training Room, Fairfax, VA. The time is 6:30 PM-9:30 PM. This is an introductory class that focuses on marketing to state and local governments. The governments of Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia, as well as county and local governments, promote open competition for most procurements -- generally exceeding $1,000.00. These procurements represent unique opportunities for small and growing businesses to obtain government contracts without the commitment required for larger, Federal bids.
