Contractor shall Upgrade the existing electrical power supply to the Blossom Point Research facility. Contractor shall provide 12.47/7.2 KV three phase power to adequately supply the new Acoustic and Electro Optic Propagation Research Site (AEOPRS) project and existing facilities at Blossom Point. Also supply power to the existing SMECO metering station on Blossom Point Road. This is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to Southern Maryland Electric Cooperative (SMECO), White Plains, MD. SMECO is the only power company located in the vicinity of Blossom Point, MD. The electrical lines and equipment to be installed will be owned and operated by SMECO.
