W -- LINEN/LAUNDRY RENTAL/EXCHANGE SOL DECA01-97-B-0024 DUE 072397 POC Contract Specialist Cindy Hische (804) 734-8654 (Site Code DECA01) The Defense Commissary Agency has a requirement for linen/laundry rental/exchange and dry cleaning of Government furnished items for commissaries in the Midwest and Central regions. States which are to be covered by this requirement include: Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Indiana, Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, Wisconsin, North Dakota, and Arkansas. The items to be acquired under this solicitation include smocks, frocks, butcher pants, mats, rugs, coats, shirts and trousers. Individual requirements by commissary will be specified in the solicitation. The contractor shall be required to provide the items in a variety of men and women's sizes. The contractor shall be required to pick up from each store a minimum of once each week, all soiled garments/mats and drop off clean replacement garments/mats at that time. The period of performance will be 1 October 1997 -- 30 September 1998. There will be one (1) one year option period. There is a possibility for multiple awards. The Standard Industrial Classification Number is 7213 and the business size standard is 10 million. This acquisition will be unrestricted.
