Project consists of the demolition and replacement of the hangar door foundation and rail system. The existing doors will be removed and reinstalled. Foundation includes a new electrical heat cable system to melt snow and ice. The work consists of: Remove and protect existing doors; remove and dispose of concrete slabs and foundations; replace foundations and slabs; install electrical heat cables; and reinstall hangar doors. The estimated price range of the proposed contract is between $100,000 and $250,000. A firm fixed price contract is contemplated. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code for this work is 1794, Excavating and Foundation Work. This acquisition is unrestricted regarding business size, and all responsible sources are encouraged to bid. Bids will be evaluated under the new DoD test program giving bid-evaluation preference to small disadvantaged business concerns in construction acquisitions (DFARS 252.219-7008).
