transportation and supervision required to replace W. Neebish Lt. #14
in the St. Marys River, Sault Ste. Marie, Chippewa County, Michigan.
Work shall include the replacement of the existing structure with a new
ice resistant structure. Work shall also entail demolition and removal
of the existing concrete foundation and supporting piles; surveying
and positioning for the new structure; fabrication of structural steel
components, including the pile driving template, ice protection cone,
tower and all associated components; placement and driving of steel
bearing piles; placement of the pile driving temkplate; construction of
the sheet pile cell; installation of the ice protection cone; concrete
placement within the structure; and placement ofthe tower, handrails
and accompanying appurtenances. The estimated range is $250K -- $500K.
Performance Period is 360 DANTP. The applicable SIC is 1629. Bid
Opening is on/or about 23 July 1997. All requests shall be submitted in
writing to the Attn: Pam Komer/97-3AC350. Your request shall include
the solicitation number and a clear mailing address listed in the text
of the request. Letterhead is unacceptable. No telephone requests. A
$30.00 non-refundable deposit is required. This procurement is open to
both large and small businesses in accordance with the Small Business
Competitiveness Demonstration Act. All responsible sources may submit
a bid, which will be considered by this agency. This office has
