Z -- GROUNDING, LIGHTNING PROTECTION AND METERING SYSTEMS SOL DAAD07-97-B-0103 DUE 081697 POC Contract Specialist Margaret Carrillo (505) 678-5455 (Site Code DAAD07) The solicitation sets forth the requirements for repair, maintenance, replacement and installation of grounding, lightning protection and meter ing systems throughout White Sands Missile Range and related locations, in accordance with Specification WS-Y001-6P, which will be included as an Attachment to the solicitation. The anticipated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000 for the total effort with a minimum guarantee of $50,000. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis. The anticipated type of contract is fixed price indefinite quantity. The peri od of performance is for a one-year base period with four one-year options to extend. Exact project completion will be specified in each delivery order. A pre-bid conference and site visit will be scheduled for this requirement. Due to problems encountered in the previous solicitation, it is highly recommended that all potential bidders attend the pre-bid confer ence and site visit to that they can better understand the extent of the work required. In order to be awarded a contract, the successful bidder must possess the minimum contractor qualifications described in the sources sought synopsis for this requirement posted in the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) Online via GPO Access, on April 17, 1997 and published in the CBD issue of April 21, 1997 PSA#1828. A Pre-Award Survey will be conducted after bid opening to ensure that the successful bidder meets the minimum contractor qualifications. It is anticipated that subject IFB will be issued on or about June 17, 1997, with estimated bid opening on July 17, 1997. Solicitation packages will be available at no charge.
