39 -- OVERHAUL AND MODIFY ONE 15-TON OET CRANE AND REMOVAL OF ONE 10- TON OET, PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD, PORTSMOUTH, NH. SOL N62472-97-R-1639 DUE 063097 POC Jerry W. The soliticitation will be available on or before 30 June 1997 and will be issued on 3.5 inch disks in MICROSOFT WORD and EXCEL. Cost and Technical Proposals are being solicited. The following evaluation factors will be considered for subject Request For Proposal: 1) Price, 2) Technical, including (a) Technical Approach, (b) Management Plan and (c) Past Performance/Corporate Experience. The award shall be based on best value to the Government; price and other factors considered. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: Remove existing 15-Ton OET Crane in Building 96, modify the span, remove the cab, modify the electrical system, modify catwalk, replace bridge rails, replace both obsolete hoist brakes, provide redesigned stiffer supports for line shaft pillow blocks, inspect and report on all mechanical wear components, modify electrical controls to provide 5 speed points, provide a cable trolley type festoon system for crane pendant, provide a gear type primary upper and lower limit switch on mail hoist and clean and paint normally painted surfaces. The modified crane will be installed in Building 76; and an existing 10-Ton OET will be removed and disposed. The following documentation will be required: General Arrangement Drawings, Electrical Drawings and Drawings of any modifications made by the contractor. (0148)
