Information is being sought on: (1) sources capable of satisfying NAWCAD's requirement for incorporation of Emergency Egress Path Lighting, Emergency Hatch Release Mechanism Lighting, and Emergency Hatch Identification Lighting for Helicopter and Non-Ejection Seat Fixed Wing Aircraft into the U.S. Navy fleet of helicopters and non-ejection seat aircraft that currently do not incorporate an emergency egress lighting system and (2) if commercial items or non-developmental items are available that meet NAWCAD needs or could be modified to meet NAWCAD needs. Device Description: Currently limited models of U.S. Navy helicopters have the Helicopter Emergency Egress Lighting System (HEELS) incorporated. This system illuminates selected hatches when the aircraft is at low rotor rpm. The need exists for a full emergency egress lighting system to be incorporated into all U.S. Navy helicopters and non-ejection seat aircraft. This could include retrofitting aircraft that currently have only the HEELS installed. NAWCAD is seeking those sources which have experience and required capabilities for the above sources sought. Those firms possessing such capabilities and experience are requested to submit the following information in original and one copy to Selinda Joyner, Contract Specialist, at the following address no later than 18 June 1997: Contracts.
