L -- SERVCIES TO DESIGN PROJECT TO REMOVE ASBESTOS ASSOCIATED WITH WARD RENOVATIONS IN BLDG 4 SOL RFQ 646-3-97 DUE 061297 POC germaine talbot provide professional certified industrial hygienist (cih) design services to provide all labor and materials to design the project "renovation of wards in bldg. 4", rfq 646-3-97. work will include contract drawings and specifications using the standard va specifications and all applicable federal and county codes and standards. cih will also review construction and standards. cihdrawings that will be completed by a va retained a/e for the renovation of bldg 4/hvac. cih will be responsible for reviewing the construction specs and drawings to ensure that no conflicts occur between a/e design and the cih's specs and drawings. abatement will be designed in accordance with all applicable codes. the cih and the va retained a/e will coordinate both sets of plans for a complete project. final design documents will be provided to the va using cadd capability that is compatible with the autocad system currently that is compatible wiin place a the va and a hard copy. cih will also provide construction period services which include review of submittals, periodic construction review, meetings, pre-bid and pre-construction meetings and site visits as required by the va. cih shall also provide detailed cost estimates. cih firms shall be within a four hour response time for emergency situations and 48 hours for non-emergency situations for the va, highland drive, pittsburgh, pa. estimated construction cost range is $500,000-$1 million. sic is 8748. site visit is strongly recommended. all requests for rfq 646-3-97 shall be made in writing to the contracting officer. subject to the availability of funds. this is a 100% small business set-aside ty of funds. this is aprocurement. of funds. this is a (0148)
