Service is requesting bids for all labor, materials, equipment,
services and accessories, needed to replace a bi-fold aircraft hangar
door (including replacement of adjacent siding, trim, and structural
items as needed) on an existing hangar building per attached drawings
and specifications. Clear, unobstructed, opening of the new bi-fold
door shall be a minimum of 14'-4" high (between finish floor and door
header) by 53'-2" wide (between door flanges). This project includes
demolition (removal and proper disposal of an existing bi-fold hangar
door, accessories, hinges, cables, pulleys, structural members,
brackets, electrical motors, siding, and fasteners as needed),
installation of a new bi-fold door including but not necessarily
limited to structural members, electrical work, cables, hinges, and
miscellaneous accessories as needed to provide a fully functional,
safe, weather protected assembly. Project will include replacement of
existing metal siding with new material on one building face, fasteners
and accessories, mobilization and demobilization. Location of project
is Kodiak National Wildlife Refuge, Kodiak, Alaska. The construction
period is summer/fall 1997 and the cost range is between $25,000 and
