Z -- ROOF REPLACEMENT -- BUILDINGS 8 & 20 SOL 575-421-97 DUE 072297 POC Denise Boren, Contract Specialist (970) 244-7723, Bonnie Holloway, Contracting Officer (970) 242-0731 X2037 The Contractor will furnish all labor and materials to remove existing built-up roofing and insulation from two single story buildings, 8 and 12,VA Medical Center, 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, CO, and will replace them with new insulation and 60 mil EPDM single ply membrane roofing fully adhered. Contractor is responsible for disposal of all materials removed and clean up of job site. All existing aluminum coping is to be reused therefore the contractor must take proper precautions when removing and storing material for protection from damages. All damaged coping material, as inspected by the Resident Engineer, will be replaced at the cost of the contractor. The Contractor will replace all cribbing under existing equipment with new treated lumber or other acceptable materials to include protective aluminum cover. Existing equipment and vents will be removed, stored and reinstalled by contractor. The contractor will also install new scuppers and roof drains to replace those existing and will furnish and install pavers to protect roofing during maintenance operations. The Contractor bidding on the job will be responsible for verifying dimensions of both buildings. Issue date for the solicitation is June 13, 1997. Estimated dollar range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. BOD is July 22, 1997. Award is contingent upon availability of funding. (0148)
