Specialist, 202/874-3235. The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) is
seeking sources that can provide an Off-Line Web Finishing Machine to
produce various types of U.S. Securities. The Off-Line Finishing
Machine must be capable of trimming, die cutting, margin punching,
perforating, numbering, marking and fan folding 28 pound paper (0.0052
inch thick) and 90 pound cotton paper (0.0073 inch thick). A draft
copy of the specification has been posted on the Office of
Procurement's Internet site at

comments on the draft specification by July 1, 1997, to the Bureau of

responses should indicate the firm's business size based on SIC Code
3555 (500 employees). The BEP plans to issue a solicitation for this
requirement in the near future. A copy of the solicitation will
automatically be sent to firms that respond to this announcement;
