This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subparts 12.6 and 13.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation to be issued; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number for this Request for Quote is N00244-97-Q-8796. This solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 46. This solicitation is issued on an unrestricted basis, under Standard Industrial Classification Code 3829 with a small business standard of 500 employees. FISC San Diego has a requirement for the following items for the Naval Aviation Depot San Diego: (1) Theodolite, 3 each, equal to Leica part number 948L522 must contain the following minimum capabilities: Autocollimination. RS232 Connector for computer interface. Minimum focusing distance 0.6 meter (24 inches). Internal temperature sensor for temperature compensation. Error reporting. On line or Off line operation with internal data storage capabilities, minimum 64K. Theodolite must be capable of linking and operating with existing Leica Axyz software. Eyepiece shall have 18X magnification @ .6 meter, 33X @ 3 meters, 44X @ 10 meters. Angle measurement 400gon, 360 sexagesimal, 360 deg. decimal. LCD Display 0.00001 inch, or 0.00001 mil. Internal 12V power supply with external power capability. Each Theodolite shall also contain an internal alignment target, keyboard overlay, optical sight, plug-in lamp, GDF21 Tribrach, cover plate, 4ft cable lemo-lemo (to connect from theodolite to T-REC), 50 ft cable lemo-lemo (to connect from T-REC to T-LINK on power supply): (2) Adhesive targets black on white, equal to Leica part number 900571, one (1) each package.
